Introducing the Wall of Tales
A public home for the certificates recipients choose to share, with a line in their own words and applause from friends and family.
Every Certale certificate has a story page: the certificate itself, who issued it and when, a verified badge, and room for the recipient to say, in one line, what it means to them. Most of those pages are seen by the people the recipient shares them with. Some recipients want to go further, and celebrate in public. The Wall of Tales is for them.
What it is
The Wall of Tales is a public page of certificates that their recipients have chosen to make Public. Each tale shows the certificate, the issuer, and the recipient’s own line: a first award after years of night shifts, a scholarship that made someone the first in their family to study engineering, a volunteer’s hundredth shift. Visitors can filter by kind, such as graduation, awards, courses, volunteering, sport and service, and open any tale to see its full story page.
“A certificate says what someone achieved. A tale says why it mattered to them.”
Applause, not likes
Friends, family and colleagues can applaud a tale with a single tap, with no account needed. There are no comments and no follower counts: applause is simply a way to say well done. Recipients see how much applause their certificate has gathered on their story page.
Always the recipient’s choice
Nothing appears on the Wall of Tales by accident. Every story page has three settings, and the recipient decides:
- Private: only people who scan the QR code on the paper copy can open the page.
- Shareable: anyone with the link can see it, but it isn’t listed anywhere.
- Public: it appears on the recipient’s shelf and on the Wall of Tales.
Issuers can choose how story pages start out, but Public only with the recipients’ consent. Recipients can change the setting at any time, and a revoked or expired certificate leaves the wall automatically.
What it means for issuers
For schools, training providers and employers, a public tale is recognition that travels: your name, as the verified issuer, next to a moment someone was proud enough to share. It costs nothing. Story pages, applause, sharing and the Wall of Tales are free on every plan, and so is scanning a certificate to check it.
