Is this certificate real? Check in seconds.

Type the certificate code printed under the QR code, or paste the certificate’s link. You’ll see who issued it, to whom, when, and whether it’s still valid.

Codes have 8 letters and numbers, like 8F2K19QA.

Holding the paper copy? Point your phone’s camera at the QR code. It opens the certificate’s story page straight away, with no app to install.

If an issuer has revoked a certificate, you’ll see a red warning instead, never a tick.

How verification works

Three checks, every time

Whether you type a code, paste a link or scan the QR code, Certale runs the same checks before it shows a tick.

  1. Signed by the issuer

Every certificate is signed by the organisation that issued it. The result names that issuer, and nobody else can issue in their name.

  2. Tamper check

We compare the name, award, date and code with the signed original. If anything was edited, even one letter, the check fails.

  3. Revocation

Issuers can withdraw a certificate at any time. A revoked certificate shows a red warning, never a tick, wherever it’s opened.

Questions about verifying

Is verifying a certificate free?

Yes. Anyone can check any Certale certificate, without an account.

Can I check a printed certificate?

Yes. Scan its QR code with your phone camera, or type the code printed beside it.

What if the paper doesn’t match the result?

Trust the result. It shows exactly what the issuer signed. If the paper says something different, it was changed after issue, so please report it.

Can I verify certificates from other platforms?

No. Only certificates issued with Certale can be checked here. For anything else, contact the issuer.

Does the recipient know I checked?

No one is told who checked. Opening the page adds one to the certificate’s view count, which the issuer can see in their Certale analytics, but we don’t record who you are.
